Deathstars - All The Devil's Toys

On 13th June 2014, the Swedish Death Glammers Deathstars are going to release their long anticipated fourth studio album "The Perfect Cult" in Europe (on 16th June 2014 in the UK and on 24th June in the US) via Nuclear Blast. Prior to that, "All The Devil's Toys" has been released as the first single, along with a music video which was produced by Staca Stanimir Lukic from ICODE Team, Serbia.

Deathstars are known for their preference to shoot their music videos in Serbia. Frontman Whiplasher Bernadotte explained in an exclusive interview with Neon Lights that it's "also because of the production company there which has done our music videos for years now. And we are comfortable with them in every respect. We don't go to Serbia because it's Serbia although it's a nice environment for us, indeed. Everything is going out of hands there, all the time. Militaries, gay people..."

At least this time, things seemed not to go out of hands that much, at least according to the official "Making Of" video for "All The Devil's Toys":

"The Perfect Cult" can be pre-ordered along with exclusive and limited items which cannot be found anywhere else here (Worldwide shipping!).

Dregen (feat. Titiyo) - Flat Tyre On A Muddy Road

The former guitarist of The Hellacopters and current guitarist of Backyard Babies and the Michael Monroe Band, Dregen, has released his highly anticipated first solo-album on 25th September 2013 via Universal Music, simply entitled "Dregen". Now, the second single from Dregen, "Flat Tyre On A Muddy Road", has been released, along with a music video:

Not only the choice of his duet partner Titiyo surprises when it comes to "Flat Tyre On A Muddy Road". Internationally, Titiyo is probably best known for her hit "Come Along" in 2001. No, Andreas Tyrone Dregen also surprises with a bald head in the video - and it's not the handiwork of a make-up artist! Dregen:

"[…] here is the answer to all of you who have asked about why I've been wearing a hat or bandana for the last six months:
-I became a dad.
-I was writing and recording my solo-album.
-I was writing and recording the Michael Monroe album.
-I wrote a 330 pages autobiography.
-I was touring.
-All at the same time! So my hair fell off. Overnight. All of it. The doctor call it "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder".
It will grow back though. And luckily I don't play or write with my hair ;) It could have been worse. I could have lost my fingers.
Hope you dig the video!"

We surely do and congratulate him and Titiyo on this awesome duet!

Dregen is currently on tour, in December 2013 even with his former bandmate in The Hellacopters, Nicke Andersson. It will be a European co-headline tour of Dregen and Imperial State Electric.

The Last Vegas - She's My Confusion

Chicago rockers The Last Vegas are back with another eye-catching music video for the song "She's My Confusion", off the band's fourth full-length album, "Bad Decisions", released last fall through FrostByte Media. The clip was produced and directed by the Chicago-based video production company Motion Source Video Solutions, the same team responsible for the "Evil Eyes" music video.

The "She's My Confusion" video is based on a well-known Chicago area ghost story named "Resurrection Mary" that's been around since the '30s. The young woman, Mary, had spent the evening dancing at the Oh Henry Ballroom (now the Willowbrook) with a boyfriend. Following an argument that evening, Mary stormed out into the cold winter's night, leaving the ballroom behind and walked along Archer Avenue. Not long after, she was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver who fled the scene leaving her to die. The story survives through the many men who claim picking up a young female hitchhiker along Archer Avenue between the Willowbrook Ballroom (which is the locale for the video) and Resurrection Cemetery. When reaching the cemetery, the young woman is let out only to disappear into the cemetery.

"The Willowbrook Ballroom is a Chicago musical institution; one bad-ass, old-school place which drips of mystery, intrigue and aura," said The Last Vegas guitarist Adam Arling. "What better place to film an unconventional rock video for 'She's My Confusion'? We stepped back in time and addressed whether those noises we hear in the night are real, or just a dream?"

The Last Vegas is in studio this month laying down tracks for its fifth full-length album, title yet to be determined, working with the great Roy Z (Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson, Sepultura). A North American tour will follow, as will a European tour supporting Buckcherry and Hardcore Superstar. Partnering with fans through PledgeMusic, The Last Vegas is offering up a variety of great exclusive opportunities like a studio hang, an acoustic performance/backyard BBQ and more.

Sisters Doll - Welcome To The Dollhouse

Mileto Brothers - Brennan, Bryce, Austin - are natives of Western Australia and are 19, 17, 14 years old (in accordance). They created their band Sisters Doll in the middle of 2010. Next two years they would take part in local competitions (including Ampfest and the Total Battle of the Bands, where they won great prizes), play a lot of gigs in Western Australia clubs and record the debut album ‘Welcome to the Dollhouse’, that was recently released.

Sisters Doll have a mix of hard rock and old school glam: you can get this impression after listening to some of their songs that you can find on their Facebook profile. Surely we’ll get their CD in the nearest future and all of you will be able to evaluate the work of these guys, and now, finally, let’s talk about the music video. Read more →

Blessed By A Broken Heart - Rockin' All Night

Blessed By A Broken Heart was formed in 2003 in Montreal (Canada) and one year later their first studio album "All is Fair in Love And War" was released. They were almost unknown at that time and their music on the debut BBaBH disc was a typical and undistinguished metalcore.

But everything changed four years later, after vocalist Tony Gambino joined, when the second album "Pedal To The Metal" was released on Centure Media Records. It attracted a lot of attention because of their uncommon for this style image and music that has evolved into a bizarre and unheard mix of hair-metal and metalcore.

The rest of 2007 was spent touring the USA, Europe, Great Britain, Japan and Australia with such monsters of modern metal-scene as Judas Priest, A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon, Megadeth, Steel Panther and others. Read more →
