Murderdolls frontman Wednesday 13 has entered the studio to begin recording a new EP, "Spook & Destroy", for an October release. A video message from the singer announcing the new EP and accompanying tour can be seen below.
Wednesday also uploaded a short video clip in which he and his solo band discuss the arrangement for a new song from the forthcoming EP.
In the end of May in one of his interviews Wednesday 13 has been asked about the current status of Murderdolls, his collaborative project with Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison which has been on hiatus since early 2011, Wednesday 13 said, "It's an open book. I love the band. It got me where I am. The last record we put out, [2010's] "Women And Children Last", it may be my favorite record I've ever put out — just because there was so much intensity in that record and just such a good time put into it. And if the band never happens again, we never do anything again, I know we went out on a high note with that record.
And we got to do as much touring as we possibly could. Unfortunately, some stuff got cut short. But yeah, man, that was a big part of my life again, and if it happens again, it happens; and if it doesn't, it doesn't. I hate to say it's never gonna happen, and then you see another one of those 'reunion' tours. So I'll just leave it open."
